Making Jam

For the past few years, I have ordered a 30 lb bucket of Oregon strawberries that arrive cleaned and hulled mid-June.  The boys (old and young) love strawberry freezer jam.  In the past, I’ve also frozen several bags of berries for smoothies, but this year, we ran out of jam mid-March, so I decided to just make most of it into jam.  It doesn’t take too long when the berries are already prepped, plus I had a little helper as well.  We ended up with 36 pints of jam.  Yum!  We’ll see if it lasts until next June!
