Last year, we started the tradition of making a gingerbread nativity instead of a gingerbread house. I put it off until later in the month, so we didn’t get to making it until the night before we left for Ashland, but it was still fun and turned out cute. The boys did a great job with all the decorating!

Christmas Tree
With 2:00 church, we had some time before going to take a picture of the kids in front of the Christmas tree. They were luckily cooperative! Davis and James both wanted to hold Madeleine so we had to take turns with that.

Madeleine Lee–3 months old
Madeleine is growing too fast, but she is as sweet as ever and we sure love having her in our family. She loves to smile and coo at her brothers and parents, and she has an overall happy disposition. She takes three naps a day, and she wakes up once at night to eat and goes right back to sleep. She is getting really close to rolling over. She likes to clasp her hands together and suck on her fists, but she refuses to take a pacifier. She likes to look up at the lights and the fan, but she hates being left alone in a room when she can hear us all somewhere else in the house. We love our little Madeleine!

Christmas Tree Decorating
We decorated our tree November 30th this year, so we could enjoy it as long as possible! We picked out our tallest tree yet, and with the star, it touched the ceiling. The boys were excited as ever to decorate the tree, and although it never is arranged quite as I would like it, it’s always beautiful to see it decorated in our house.
November Happenings
Maggie, Annie and Asher playing ring around the rosies, Madeleine hanging out with Shane while I was gone one evening, and Asher found a motorcycle at Costco that he wants for Christmas.
Madeleine all bundled up for a walk in the stroller, cuddles with Asher and his doggy after nap, and Asher playing outside with an earlier and earlier sunset.
Asher’s favorite book right now – The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afriad of Anything, and Madeleine’s head is getting stronger and stronger!
Asher working on a learning game throwing snowballs at the letters on the wall, and four boys in the tub.
Madeleine napping in her carseat, James telling me about his Kindergarten day and that he doesn’t get in trouble, except for one time when he picked his nose, and some rainy-day Twister.
Our Thanksgiving Thankful leaf garland, and another learning game for Asher matching the duplo block patterns.
Asher’s great playgroup friends (Caden, Drew, Carter, Asher, and Trevon), and James’s Kindergarten artwork for the day – a picture of Mom.
Asher enjoying listening to some books, Shane putting up Christmas lights, and sweet, smily Madeleine.
An afternoon painting leaf cookies with Morris cousins:
Boys in the hot tub, Madeleine in the bath, and Davis with his “about me” poster from school.
She’s just so cute!
Asher climbing up to see Madeleine, and more learning games – sorting the shapes into the right envelopes.
