Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year, we were lucky to have Dave and Liz and their cute girl Olivia come and stay with us for the week.  They flew in Sunday and stayed with us until Friday.  We had fun with Dave and Liz, and went shopping to the outlets and out to Multnomah Falls with them.

My dad came and joined us from Ashland on Tuesday, and Camille and Bryce, my mom, Avery and new baby Dallin came Tuesday evening.  Dallin was born the week before, so we weren’t sure what Camille would want to do for Thanksgiving, but she decided she wanted to get out of the house and come and join us too.  Dallin was a hit with the boys.  They all liked to lie by him on the floor, and entertain him with their doggies.  Olivia and Avery were pretty popular too!

Wednesday, we went to OMSI.  The little kids had fun in the preschool play area while I took Landon and Davis around some of the rest of the museum.

Our Thanksgiving dinner was delicious as always.  It’s never bad to make the dinner when you have so many helpers on hand!

After dinner, we played some Sorry and did a little planning for shopping.

Thursday night and Friday morning, we of course did a little Black Friday shopping, finding a few good deals while we were out.  We only had one strange incident when the cashier zoned out on me and Liz for a couple of minutes, but he finally came to and got us what we needed.

It was a fun holiday.  This was our first year hosting a Morris Thanksgiving; we hope we get to do it again!

November Happenings

According to our photos, there wasn’t too much exciting that happened around here in November except for Thanksgiving.  We did have a pretty fun night for family night.  Shane was activity, and he made up a variation on our traditional “three catches” game, and added that you have to catch the football while jumping off the trampoline and into the beanbag.  It was quite a hit with the boys.

We also had some beautiful fall days, and the boys had fun playing basketball outside.

Some day-off-of-school fun with the marble game:

September through November, I had fun playing on a church women’s basketball team.  We had our final game in November and thought we should catch a picture, reminiscent of high school basketball team photos.  And Asher found a new hiding spot.  He thought he was pretty funny.
