James has been talking about his birthday since February, changing from week to week and day to day what type of party he wanted. The main ones were a minion party and a Mickey Mouse party. The minion party won out, and while we were in Ashland to celebrate the fourth of July, we decided to have a party for him Saturday evening. He had lots of fun, and I was able to pretty much redo the same party I had done for Davis in February, so it was a win-win situation.

For James’s actual birthday a few days later, he had a couple of friends over for Happy Meals and to play. That evening, we roasted hot dogs and ate in the backyard. After dinner, James made true on his promise that he would ride his bike without training wheels when he turned four. He has been so close for a few months, but never has wanted to go for it and try without his training wheels. As soon as we took the training wheels off, Shane just gave him a little push and he took right off!
James asked for minion underwear and a Spiderman shirt – he got both. :)

James is so full of life and brings so much to our family. He loves his brothers and likes to be one of the big kids, but at the same time loves Asher and all little kids. He loves to play with and entertain all little babies. He is currently a mama’s boy, and wants me to do everything for him, especially at bedtime. He is still a good napper, and while some days argues a bit when it is naptime, some days he even says he is tired and goes and lies right down when it is time. We love our little (but growing bigger too fast) James!
