The first weekend in August, we took our annual trip to the Oregon coast with the Morris family. It was, as always, a little crazy, but lots of fun. I’m a little late posting this, and I am never going to be able to sort through the over 700 pictures we have from the trip :) but here are a few favorites (okay, a lot, but not much compared to 700).
The tennis tournament – Dad and David were the champs this year. They even got some nice t-shirts!
Around the house before we left for the coast. It was Shane’s birthday, so we celebrated with a great dinner and some chocolate cream cheese pie – not quite as good as my mother-in-law’s, but I did okay.
The first night – as soon as we got to our campsite, Landon started asking when we were going to the beach. First, we had to have dinner though. Here are a few pictures of the grandkids (sans Bennett) in their camp chairs. I love the one of Kallie! She makes such silly faces! :)
Then we headed down to see the sunset:
The next day, we spent most of the day at the beach, building sand castles, flying kites, getting buries, playing in the water, and relaxing together.

Davis was in heaven being outside 24-7. He liked this little porch next to Becky and Nate’s yurt. He would go and sit over there by himself and just watch everything. He also liked to dig in the dirt too.

Quick question. Tell me how you like Portland area. Oregon is on our map of states to look into after school, but we have zero idea where to start or what parts are good. Being an Oregon native...maybe you have some good input. Thanks.

What great pictures! I miss you guys! Once your kids are better, we have to get together. Kaitlyn has kindergarten on Mondays, Wed. and Thurs, but she has Tues. and Fri. off, so let me know when you're free! I've heard there is some great parks in Portland we could try out while the weather is good :)
