My friend Johanna tagged me on her website, and then I completely forgot to do it! Here you go, Johanna!
A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 3 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
10 years ago: I was a freshman at BYU (wow I'm old!), living in Heritage Halls with five other girls, working at the financial aid office, and enjoying the freshman life!
5 things on my to-do list today:
1. Do some laundry
2. Put together the baby bassinet
3. File papers in my "to file" file :)
4. Play with Landon
5. Clean off the top of my dresser (it's a mess!)
5 Snacks I enjoy:
1. Brownies
2. Popcorn
3. Chocolate chip cookies
4. Chips and salsa
5. Graham crackers dipped in milk
What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
Pay off our house, actually, probably buy a new house! Put money in savings for kids schooling and for us, and buy a car so we can have two!
5 places I have lived:
1. Ashland, Oregon
2. Poitiers, France
3. Provo, Utah
4. Ogden, Utah
5. Beaverton, Oregon
5 jobs that I have had:
1. Newspaper route (my favorite job ever! Just kidding! I had it for 4 years)
2. Hostess and then waitress at a Mediterranean restaurant. I worked there for 7 years!
3. Program and treat vendor at the Shakespeare Festival - I got to wear a costume and everything!
4. French 101 and 102 teacher at BYU.
5. French and English teacher at Lakeridge Junior High in Orem, Utah, and North Ogden Junior High in North Ogden, Utah.
5 Things people don't know about me:
Hmmmm.
1. I was in the newspaper for reading the most books in my first grade classroom
2. I know some VERY basic things about Macromedia Dreamweaver, enough to upkeep our and my mom's website
3. I had a cyst the size of a tennis ball removed when I was in first grade (which made me miss the award ceremony at the end of the year for reading the most books!)
4. I love to see the moon, and I'm always pointing it out to people. I think I've infected Landon with the same love! He's always pointing it out to us and gets disappointed when we go outside at night and he can't see it.
5. To my embarassement, I tend to get faint quite easily, including right after getting my ears pierced and once even in the temple!
Ok, I tag Becky, Camille, and Stacey!

Our Snowy Portland Day
This morning, we woke up to 3/4 an inch of snow on the ground outside our house! I know to many of you that sounds like nothing, but for Portland, it creates a mess! :) I had to drive Shane to work because I needed the car for a doctor appointment, so we all made the trek to his work in the snow. It wasn't too bad, although everyone was driving really snow because of the icy roads.
After we got back from the doctor, we went outside and played in the snow. We made a little snowman, and then ran around in the snow and played red light, green light. It's already melting off fast, so it's good we got out there when we did!

Like Father, Like Son
Shane is a toothpick man. Some of you may already know this, but after most dinners, he gets a toothpick from the cupboard and chews on it for awhile. Most of the time, Landon wants to follow right along with him. Here is a picture of the two of them tonight with their toothpicks after dinner.

Shane tried to play Hot, Cold with him tonight, hiding his little duck in the house and then directing him to the duck. Landon didn't quite catch on. He kept saying, "Daddy, no, I'm not cold!" When Shane told him, "Landon, you're getting close. Your back is hot!" He put his hands on his back, confused, and said, "No Daddy, I'm not hot!" He did finally find the duck though. Now Landon is hiding his duck himself, then he walks around the living room saying, "Little ducky. Where are you?" He then responds in his"duck" voice, "I'm right here. Come find me," and searches until he finds the duck he himself hid moments ago.
Finally, our last picture is of Shane and Landon dressing up like "mommy." Landon has a football in his shirt and Shane has a balloon. Hey, if they want to be the pregnant ones next time, that's fine with me!

My Old Navy Bargain Shopping
One of Shane's favorite websites to visit is slickdeals.net. After being married to him for a few years, I am now becoming quite a regular at visiting the slickdeals website myself. The other day, I saw that Old Navy was having a clearance sale, so I decided to go and check it out. Boy did I get some good deals! The store was a mess, but after a little searching, I found some great deals:
Scarf: $16.99 Regularly. I paid $1.49.
Jeans for new baby: $12.99. I paid $2.99
Pants for baby: $12.99. I paid $3.99
PJ's for Landon (the long sleeved ones, with pant bottoms) - $14.50. I paid $3.50.
Pants for Shane: $24.50. I paid $5.99.
So, the sales go on unti tomorrow. If your willing to brave the crowds and the mess, you should go and check it out! Oh, and I also ordered some of those energy efficient light bulbs for $.98 from Lowe's., and I just bought one last weekend for $5! What great deals!

The Results are in!
Sunday night, the polls closed, and it looks like are top three contenders for the baby's name are:
James (17 votes)
Tanner (17 votes)
Davis (16 votes)
We have narrowed it down to these three names, but we haven't made our final decision yet. We'll keep you updated!
Yesterday, while I was doing laundry, Landon came riding in with the empty laundry basket on his head. He thought he was pretty funny!
Later that evening, I was cutting Shane's hair. Landon was waiting for his turn to get his haircut. We thought he was being pretty quiet, and when we looked over, he was just chilling on the couch like this, with his hands above his head, waiting his turn. He hadn't sat that still all day!

Help!
So Shane and I are having a really hard time deciding on a name for the little baby boy that will be arriving in a month. We put a poll on the side for you to vote on your favorites. You can choose up to three names, and you have until next Sunday, January 13th, to vote. We could use any help we can get!
Joyeux Epiphanie!
Today we celebrated Epiphany, or the arrival of the three wisemen to see the baby Jesus. I made a galette des rois, or a buttery, cookie-like cake and we put a feve of the baby Jesus inside. Landon found the baby Jesus in his piece of cake, so he was the king! He wore the crown around for a little bit, but then he said he was done being king and took his crown off.
