For Labor Day weekend, Becky and Nate and their boys came down to visit. It is so fun having them live closer to us. We started out the weekend by heading to the coast on Saturday. There was quite a bit of traffic on the drive, and the main spot in Cannon Beach was pretty busy, but we headed down a little farther to Hug Point. It was busy there too, but not as bad. The weather was warm, but there was a thick fog right as you reached the ocean. It was kind of weird because we were in the sun on the sand, but the ocean was completely foggy. It burned off within an hour or so after we arrived. The kids had a great time playing together. I think they could stay there all day!
The kids all lined up ready to run to the ocean!
The foggy view:
Davis dug himself a little bed to lie down in:
Crazy sunscreen hair!
Cousins!!! (minus Ryan)
There’s a cool cave and small waterfall on the beach too which made it fun for exploring.
And one picture of me with my beach buddy:
We ended the day with some delicious clam chowder at Mo’s before heading home. On Monday, we headed down to the outlets to do some school shopping. We got there at 10:15, 15 minutes after they opened, but it was already packed! We found some great deals though on shoes, shirts, and jeans for the boys, and some cute onesies for Asher. We look forward to more holidays with the Packers!
