Shane’s birthday celebrations were not too exciting this year, especially since his birthday fell on a fast Sunday. He went to early morning meetings, church, and then stayed for interviews and to help count tithing. When he finally did come home, we had a nice dinner though of steak and potatoes, watermelon, rolls, and chocolate cake for dessert. Kelly came over for the dinner celebrations, and he started spraying the boys when they were in the sandbox. They thought it was pretty fun, even though it did make for some really dirty boys afterwards!
Getting cleaned up
Landon and Davis each made Shane a card. Davis drew the face in the first picture below, and Landon made the second card Shane’s looking at. In his card, he wrote the words “Happy Birthday,” and each letter had pictures of him doing things with his dad that he remembered. The middle line of the “H” was a lake, and “A” was Mountain Hood from when they went fishing there. The “B” was them “screaming their heads off” on the roller coaster at Disneyland. Those are just a few that I remember. It was pretty creative.
