Bike Ride
Friday afternoon, Shane came home from work early. The sun was out and it was relatively warm outside, so we decided to load the bikes up in the car and drive to the bike path for a little bike riding time. After getting there, we realized the wind was a little bit chilly, but we still had fun and it wasn’t too bad.
Along the bike path, there are several parks to stop at along the way. We stopped and played for awhile on the swings and slides before heading back.
Davis was quite the poser for me. He climbed up the slide one time, but the pictures I got of him were all blurry, so he said, “Mom, I will do it again!” Then, as he climbed up, he turned and grinned like this at me the whole way up! What a great model!
After playing for awhile, we headed back. Landon and Shane got ahead of me and the other two boys, but apparently Landon got tired of riding his bike, because before long, this is what I saw riding towards me!
Shane ended up giving Davis and James rides too, but I only got the picture of Landon and him. Our hands were cold when we got home, but we were glad we went.

Lunch Time
Davis and James are my lunch buddies every day. Davis usually likes to do something different than what I suggest. My usual suggestions are PB&J, cheese quesadilla, turkey and cheese sandwich, or maybe an English muffin pizza. Davis lately wants a cheese sandwich with just cheese and butter. He also is a huge cucumber and ranch fan, so he always has those if they are available. James has decided that he too likes ranch, and he points to it and makes noises until he gets it. They are fun buddies to each lunch with!

Davis wanted to show off his food and make a few silly faces too. He wanted PB&J that day for his sandwich.

The Pet Train and a Sunny Afternoon at the Park
Every Wednesday, my friend and I swap watching kids so the other one of us can go volunteer in our kid’s classroom. This week, it was my turn to babysit. Davis and Eve are great friends and always have lots of fun together. Today, the played pet train, something my boys love to play whenever I am mopping the kitchen floor. They thought the Mario and Luigi hats made good conductor hats, and lined up all of the animals on the chairs.
For some reason, Eve decided she needed to make this crazy face for the pictures :)
The forecast showed rain for today, but this afternoon, the sun was out and it was relatively warm, so I decided to finally give in to Davis’s pleading to go to a park we hadn’t been to in awhile. I had been working all week for several hours each day, so it was a good break to go play outside. We met up with our friends (same ones from this morning), and I was able to snap a few pictures before I had to spend the rest of the time keeping James from falling off the play structures.
James getting ready to go down the slide – he went so fast the first time that his legs flew up in the air.

Some more January
Here are a few miscellaneous pictures from the rest of January.
James reading a book:
Brushing Teeth:
Putting little people to bed (Davis really likes these little people lately. He found the bean bags and washcloths himself and I found them in his bed like this when he was getting ready for bed):
Playing with cars in our diapers (James has a recent aversion to getting dressed, and sometimes I don’t feel like a wrestling match!):
Eating toast with strawberry jam (with some nice cheezer smiles for the camera, and once again in only his diaper):
