This year, our usual Christmas tree farm had increased their prices for the third year in a row, so we decided to just drive around and see what else we could find. We found a small little ma and pa tree farm just a few minutes from our house. It was a bit of a walk through the woods behind the lady’s house to get to the trees, but it was beautiful! After some searching, comparing, and debate, we decided upon the perfect tree. Shane cut it down while we enjoyed the view of Mount Hood. Then, we hauled it back to our car, (close to a half mile walk). I wasn’t much help since I was holding Madeleine, so Landon and Shane carried it on their own most of the way.
We didn’t have time to decorate our tree that day. In fact, we kind of decorated in stages since we had a lot going on each evening. Shane trimmed the tree and put it in the stand one night, and we decorated it a couple of nights later.
