Minute to Win It, Science Works, and New Years Eve

While we were there on our visit, my parents decided to buy a grandparents membership to the Science Works in Ashland.  My mom and dad took Landon and Davis a year and a half ago for the Grandma and Grandpa camp while we redid the kitchen, but hadn’t been again since then.  We all went along with them, and it was a pretty cool museum.  Some of the favorites were the bubbles, the ping pong balls in the tubes, and the bottle rocket.

That night, we decided to have a Minute to Win It competition.  Becky and I went to Walmart to stock up on a few supplies, and we used the Minute to Win It website to find some good competitions to do.  We also did a few from Shane’s Christmas party that were fun.  We all made fools of ourselves, but it was a lot of fun, and we were quite frequently laughing so hard we could hardly continue.

For New Years Eve, we went bowling in the morning, and then to lunch at Red Robin. The kids always have a fun time bowling.  I started out not so good, but then Landon was doing pretty good, so he let me rub his hands for good luck, and I ended up doing pretty good after that!  I’ll have to remember that for next time!  James had fun letting everyone hold him while we bowled, especially his Aunt Camille.DSC_0521DSC_0522IMG_0700IMG_0708

Davis liked putting his head by where the air blew out.

That night, we had fun eating all of our favorite appetizer foods for dinner, then played some Mario and Just Dance 2 on the Wii.  The dancing wasn’t quite as fun with Stacey gone (she had to work that night), but we got by okay since we had Nate’s mad dancing skills with us this time.  The kids had fun wearing their New Years gear before heading to bed, and it was quite entertaining as always trying to get them to all stand together for a picture!  Bennett wasn’t feeling good, so that made it even more difficult.
