A Peak at November

I haven't posted for a few weeks on our blog, so I thought I'd put up a few pictures from the past couple of weeks. We are enjoying a great Thanksgiving weekend in Ashland, so I will post some of those pictures when we get back!

Here are Landon and Davis playing with their cars on the race track. Davis has just started to play with him these days.

Landon has a sports class every Friday, and Davis and I go and watch. Here is a picture of Davis in the stroller during class, and Landon kicking around the soccer ball.

Davis is still enjoying crawling around the house putting everything in his mouth. Here is a classic example of him with Landon's magnifying glass smooshed up against his face, showing off his nostrils.

Here's me with the two boys. How did I get to lucky?

Reading Books and Making Messes

Today, while picking up the house, I all of the sudden realized it was really quiet and neither boy was in sight. I realized they had both gone into Landon's room, and when I walked in, this is what I found. They had dumped out the basket of books by Landon's bed, had them spread all over the floor, and were each looking at a book. I can't complain about a reading mess!!!

Besides that, Davis's new favorite past time is to crawl to the kitchen, pull open this drawer, and dump out all of Landon's cups and bowls. Here he is in action, and quite proud of himself I might add! (There were actually a lot more bowls and cups on the floor, but he likes to push them after they drop so he can watch them roll across the kitchen floor, so I couldn't quite capture all of that in this picture.)

Trick or Treat

Last night, we did a progressive dinner while going trick-or-treating with some family friends. We had appetizers at one house, taco soup at our house, and dessert at another house, while trick-or-treating in between. Landon was a bug catcher, and Davis was a ladybug. Davis got a little tired by the end, thus the picture of him asleep in Shane's arms. Oh, and one last picture of Davis just playing around today. (A fingerprint got on the picture somehow in our family picture!)

Pumpkin Carving

Monday night, for Family Home Evening, we carved our pumpkin. I found a website where you could choose eyes, nose, and a mouth to create a pumpkin, then print out the stencil to make on your own pumpkin. Landon had fun choosing the face he wanted, then we helped him carve it out. When we asked him what his favorite candy was, he said, "I like all of them!"

Lee Farms Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday, we went to the Lee Farms Pumpkin Patch with our friends. It was so much fun! They had a ton to do and see there, with all sorts of animals - piglets, chicks, chickens, bunnies, horses, turkeys, baby puppies, and calves. They also had a little caterpillar that Landon found at the very beginning, so we had to carry it around through the whole pumpkin patch. I finally remembered I had a little bowl with cheerios in it, so I dumped the cheerios and replaced them with the caterpillar. They had a fun hay maze and slide too. Landon was a little nervous at first, but once he figured out how to climb up into the slide, I couldn't get him off it! Overall, it was a great day! The only drawback was I had Davis in the Bjorn the whole time, and boy was my back tired when we got home!

Landon, Luke, and Brigham in front of one of the many hay bales decorated like pumpkins.

Feeding the horses - Landon finally got the horse to eat a big chunk out of his hand.

Landon and Luke sitting on the hay bales.

Look how big I am!

Landon is on the left, the sheep in this picture.

Going down the slide - yipee!

Wow, those pigs stunk!!! But they sure were cute!

Enjoying all the pumpkins!

I couldn't seem to get a picture with both of them looking at me and smiling - this will just have to do!

TOFW

Last weekend, I went to Time Out for Women in Portland. My mom, dad, sister Becky, sister-in-law Stacey, niece Kallie, and aunt Karen all came out to go with me. It was so much fun! Dad and Shane stayed home and took care of Landon, Davis, and Kallie (same age as Davis) while went to the conference as well as did a little shopping. It was so much fun! The conference was great, although we did get a little Kenneth Coped out. I hope we can do it again!

Our New Fence

Previously, I posted about Shane's dad coming out to help us with our yard. I never posted the finished product of the fence!!! Shane took a day off work, and Kent and Shane did a lot of work to get the fence done. The last picture is of the finished product. It's so nice to have a little more room in our backyard!
