Fort Stevens

The first weekend in August, we took a short trip to the beach (Fort Stevens) to camp for the night.  The boys had fun riding bikes through the campground, playing outside, and roasting marshmallows at the campsite.

We did a longer bike ride (a few miles long) down to the beach and then along the trails they have near the campground.  It was so beautiful and quiet.

After we packed up our camping supplies, we drove down to Hug Point, just south of Cannon Beach, to play on the beach for the day.  It was a little foggy all day, but it wasn’t too cold.  The boys, of course, weren’t a bit fazed by the cloudy weather, and they played all afternoon in the ocean.

I think the boys would run from and jump over the waves all day long if we let them!
