Our second full day at the beach, we decided to drive down to see Paul Bunyan since Liz had never been there before.

After visiting Paul Bunyan, we stopped at a beach in Crescent City for the afternoon.  The day was much more breezy than the day before, plus the breeze was chilly, so we didn’t really get in or stay as long, but we still enjoyed a few beach activities.

After the beach, we went to a seafood restaurant in Crescent City, where we tried some delicious fish and chips.  The only bad thing was that we ate too much because it was so good!

When we got back to our campsite, we bundled up and headed down to see the sunset again.  First, we took some family shots.

The kids each grabbed a stick and drew pictures and later their names in the sand.

Saturday, after packing up our tents, we decided to head over to Jedediah Smith State Park to play in the river, where the sun was out and it was less windy than at the beach.  Dad had to leave early to make it back for a meeting in Central Point, so he missed out on the Jedediah Smith part of the trip.  We had a nice picnic lunch, and Dave showed Davis and Landon how to make duck lips out of the Pringles.

Jake, Dave, and Shane were excited to get in and jump of the rock.  They had a few “synchronized” jumps that Stacey caught on camera.

The rest of the time, we just enjoyed relaxing in our chairs, skipping rocks, and wading in the river.

Jake kept making fun of me and my rock-throwing-skipping skills.  The above picture to the left is him imitating me when I throw the rock.   I decided to throw my next rock right at him.  Just kidding.

Shane caught a little tadpole, and the kids all enjoyed checking it out.

Overall, we had a great time on our trip and can’t wait to go again next year!  We missed you Becky, Nate, Bennett, Ryan, Camille, and Bryce!

(Stacey as always took pretty much all the great-looking pictures.  Some of these are my mom’s and Liz’s (the couple of our family at Paul Bunyan), but all the others that look awesome are from Stacey!)
